One man's patriotic message is another man's propaganda. Patriotism, propaganda, recruiting, public service announcements, requests for secrecy(Loose lips sink ships!), sales of war bonds, encouragement to work hard and conserve resources, and denigrating the enemy. All are common themes of posters from all countries from every conflict. Now the posters are more likely to be social media posts or other technologically delivered messages. Lets just non-judgementally call them all "propaganda" or maybe just "posters" here for the sake of brevity. When showing propaganda, there will be images and messages that will be offensive to some people. Displaying these images here does not imply support or agreement with any of the individual messages. This is just history. There will be some overlap in the sub-collections below. Browse around and look for the common themes and in some cases admire them as pop-art.
